Connor Bedard tired of the spotlight during the World Championship
Connor Bedard and Team Canada had a disappointing World Championship and now video footage has surfaced of Bedard disrespecting a cameraman.
For years now Connor Bedard has been in the spotlight and is likely the biggest name in hockey right now. At the World Championship held in Prague, Bedard has been struggling to get ice time for Team Canada despite being one of their best players.
During a game that went to the shootout, Bedard was the only player to score for Canada as they fell in the semifinals.
After a loss to Switzerland in the semifinals yesterday, Bedard was seen covering a camera with his glove on his way off the ice.
To make things even worse for Bedard, he barely played today during the Bronze medal game against Sweden as Canada fell to Sweden to go home medal-less.
For the first time since 2014, both Canada AND USA will not medal at the #MensWorlds, as Sweden wins 4-2 over Canada to win bronze.
Bedard only played in 10 minutes and was one of Canada's least-played players. This marks the end of his season and he will set his sights on getting ready for the 2024-25 campaign where he will look to build upon his impressive rookie year.
