Some worrisome news emerged concerning Connor Bedard at the ongoing World Championship in Czechia.

Yesterday, Team Canada played their last game of the preliminary round of the WC against Czechia, and fans couldn't help but notice that the Chiacgo Blackhawks' star Connor Bedard was benched for most of the game.

He had only 10 shifts on the ice, and none in the overtime period, which is quite surprising for the young prodigy.

"Not totally sure what's going on with Connor Bedard, who played just 8:08 today and nothing in OT.

Just 10 shifts."

Despite being one of the best players on the team, having scored five goals and one assist in seven games, it looks like he did something to upset head coach Andre Tourigny.

At some point in Canada's last game, Bedard took a bad penalty that led to a goal, and it's believed that he bwas benched as a consequence.

"🤷‍♂️ bedard took a stupid penalty that led to a goal, tourigny didn't like that i guess"

Other fans think that Bedard could currently be dealing with an injury, explaining his limited ice time:

Team Canada will face Slovakia in the first elimination round of the Tournament tomorrow.
