Tortorella still wants to coach in the NHL but is done with Columbus

In an announcement that has stirred the NHL community, John Tortorella and Jarmo Kekalainen have decided to part ways. This conclusion came after meticulous deliberation on the future trajectory of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
"After discussion and consideration of the future direction of the team, Jarmo and I have come to a mutual agreement to part ways," Tortorella stated on the team's official website. He expressed gratitude towards the Columbus Blue Jackets organization for the coaching opportunity and cherished his time in Columbus. "It has been a privilege to work with the players, coaches, and hockey operations staff, which is one of the best in the League. Also, I want to thank the CBJ fans and the community for the support they've given the team and for the work of the CBJ family in support of the community."
Despite stepping down, Tortorella is not hanging up his coaching hat just yet. NHL insider Elliotte Friedman shared insights that reflect Tortorella's ongoing passion for the sport.
Word on Tortorella, who will be 63 in June, is that he's not retiring and still wants to coach,
tweeted Friedman, indicating that Tortorella's presence on the ice is far from over. The seasoned coach's decision underscores a hopeful horizon in the realm of NHL coaching, stirring speculation about his next move in the league.
