The 32-year-old Stars player made the announcement on his Instagram that he, along with his wife Kate, would be expecting their first child to be born in January. Tyler married Kate last summer, and they wrote in a joint post: "Half of you & half of me. Baby Seguin arriving January 2025".
This upcoming season is going to be the 15th for Tyler Seguin in the NHL, and 12th with the Stars. He had a solid season last year, putting up 52 points in 68 games, and also tied his career-high for playoff points with 13.
Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen was the most recent Dallas Stars player to announce he and his wife were expecting a baby, as he had shared it through a post online with his wife showing her baby bump. Seguin now joins Heiskanen as the team's newest father.
We wish Tyler and Kate a happy pregnancy, and the hockey world can't wait to see the little one in January. Congrats!
