Pavel Datsyuk was one of the most exciting NHL players of the 2000s, and there's no doubt that he deserves a spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Not only did he help the Detroit Red Wings win two Stanley Cups (in 2002 and 2008), he maintained a level of excellence throughout his hockey career that earned him four Lady Byng Memorial Trophies (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009) and three Frank J. Selke Trophies (2008, 2009, 2010).
In 953 games with the Red Wings between 2001 and 2016, he scored 918 points, including 316 goals, but he will remain in the hearts of hockey fans for his amazing skills and spectacular moves on the ice. He also played several seasons in the KHL, where he won a Gagarin Cup before eventually retiring at the end of the 2021 season.

Datsyuk was set to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame next November, but something could come in the way of this from happening.
The Ukrainian Canadian Congress shared an official statement in which they state that Datsyuk shouldn't be inducted into the HHOF and that he should be banned from entering Canada.
CEO and Executive Director Ihor Michalchyshyn explained that Datsyuk was present at an event in Russia, his home country, to honor Russian soldiers who fought in the war against Ukraine.
Take a look at their statement here:
As of now, nothing indicates that the NHL will change their mind about Datsyuk's induction. Politics don't erase the player's contributions to the sport, but the current climate could surely complicate things.
