Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane will not play in tonight's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Why won't he play? Because his trial regarding his bankruptcy in San Jose officially begins today and will run for seven days over a two-week period until February 2.
It is said that this is not a surprise for the Oilers, they were already aware of the situation.
Recall that Evander Kane's debt totaled $26.8 million, including $10.2 million in assets and $1.5 million in gambling debts.
