The St. Louis Blues are having a terrible season. After finishing with 109 points in 2021-22, the Blues are on pace to only finish with 84 this season. This will leave them far outside of the playoff picture, which is worrying for the rapidly aging team.

While they will inevitably be sellers at the deadline, with faces such as Ryan O'Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko likely changing threads, head coach Craig Berube is still intent on chasing a cup.

It's easy to understand why he is frustrated, but he may have taken it too far behind the bench last game.

After letting the Buffalo Sabres dominate towards a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period, Bally Sports did a live interview with Berube. He was brutally honest about his teams' performance:

We just weren't skating in our own zone, killing plays. Then when we did get the puck, we didn't execute a play to get it out.

It's hard to imagine these types of words by a head coach is doing favours in the locker room.

Maybe instead of insulting his team, he should try to coach them better?
