The Edmonton Oilers are talented on paper, but after another argument involving Evander Kane, the locker room could be close to imploding.
Just a week ago, Evander Kane was caught arguing on the bench with Leon Draisaitl, and now, it's happened again, this time with Corey Perry. During their tight victory in the Battle of Alberta against the Flames, cameras caught the two in a heated argument, and with rumours of issues away from the ice involving Kane, it certainly wasn't a good look.
On Monday however, the veteran Perry addressed the situation, with both players taking responsibility and seemingly brushing it aside as no big deal.
«It happens. Brothers fight and argue. We are trying to make each other better. We talked about it after, apologize and move on. It happens in the room often, it just happened that the camera showed it,» Perry on interaction with Kane.
Arguments certainly do happen when teams are pushing to be their very best, but given Kane's history everywhere he's been, it's hard not to read too much into this. However, Perry revealed the two apologized to each other, and if they can co-exist long enough to chase a Stanley Cup, this will be a tough team to beat in the playoffs.
