Corey Perry signed with the Edmonton Oilers in hopes of winning the Stanley Cup, and his role on that team is quite narrow. He is there to piss people off, and he's doing a great job.

Leaving Chicago for Edmonton, Perry is now back in the Pacific division, the home of his longtime team the Anaheim Ducks. The Oilers played the Ducks in a divisional matchup last night, and Perry showed absolutely no mercy for his former teammate.

He had the best years of his career in Anaheim, winning a Hart trophy, a Rocket Richard, and a Stanley Cup.

Ducks Reminisce After Corey Perry's Dirty Slash on Former Teammate John Gibson

In the later stages of the game last night, Perry threw a dirty slash on his former teammate, goaltender John Gibson. The Ducks, looking for some social media love upon their reunion with the franchise legend, commented:

There was a time we loved when he did stuff like this. 🤷‍♂️

Well... we're sure John Gibson was just as jovial about it. Perry was and will always be a best, but is he on his way to being a multiple-cup-winning pest?
