Life-changing news hits NHL forward Zach Hyman

This afternoon reports have surfaced that Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman had a life-changing event this afternoon that will impact him and his family.

The Edmonton Oilers announced yesterday that forward Zach Hyman would be missing practice. Today the reason why Zach Hyman was absent was announced. According to reports Zach Hyman and his wife Alanna welcomed a third child to the world. Their newborn son Camden is the new addition to the Hyman family.

Hyman is now a father of three boys, with the newborn Cam joining four-year-old Theo, born in 2020, and one-year-old Bennett, born in 2022. The couple announced that they were pregnant with a third child back in July.

This is the second boy the couple has given birth to in Edmonton. Theo was born while Hyman was playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has been married to Alanna since 2019.

In his return to training camp today Zach Hyman spoke about his absence and the excitement of welcoming yet another child to the family.

Everybody's well, mom and baby boy are good, he said. We're in zone D now It's awesome, you know, one of the best days of your life, so it's great.

Now Zach, Alanna and the Hyman family will embark on a new chapter for the 2024-25 season as a family of 5. Zach Hyman will be looking to add more professional success alongside the joys of his family this season. Since leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs Zach Hyman has become a household name in the NHL. Last season Zach Hyman broke out and became a goal scoring superstar scoring 54 goals and 77 points across 80 total games.

We wish Zach, Alanna, and the entire Hyman family all the best as they continue to adjust to their new life as a family of 5.
