The Edmonton Oilers are facing a must-win situation in game two of the Stanley Cup Finals, and now footage has revealed drama with the Florida Panthers first goal.

After a dramatic first period, the controversy continued into the second of game two, with the Florida Panthers tying the game on this beauty from Niko Mikkola.

Mikkola almost scores on Bob... then beats Skinner.

Fun, wild sequence. 😂

After slowing it down however, some fans have pointed out a crucial moment in the game-tying goal, with the official directly blocking Edmonton's Connor Brown as he tried to get back into the play.

Anybody else see the ref stop Connor Brown before that goal????

Obviously, NHL officials wouldn't directly stand in front of a player and block them intentionally, but given his poor positioning, it's safe to say that he certainly impacted the play negatively for Edmonton.

This likely won't be addressed by the NHL, but if the Oilers go on to lose this game and fall 0-2 in the series, it will definitely be a talking point moving forward. Given how important every moment and every inch is on the ice, this was definitely a poor moment for the officials however, and may directly effect the result of this entire series.
