Viral Edmonton Oilers Flasher Girl Shares How Her Life Has Changed Since the Video
Since Kait Flynn went viral for flashing the Edmonton Oilers crowd after a victory in the playoffs last season and has given some insight into how her life changed.
We all know that sports fans can get a little rowdy at times, finding new and unique ways to celebrate the love they have for their team. At the conclusion of Game 5 of the 2024 Conference Finals between the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers, fans took to many different ways to celebrate their team's victory. Kait Flynn was one of those fans and went viral for her decision to flash the Edmonton crowd her bare chest. Instantly blowing up social media, people were equally elated and stunned at the actions of Flynn.
Becoming an instant sensation, Flynn tried to lay low after the incident but then decided to embrace it, breaking her silence on the 'Spittin Chiclets' podcast as well as signing an exclusive deal with Top Magazine.
Flynn recently did a sit-down interview with the magazine and spoke about how the incident changed her life; at least in some ways:
"Yeah, it is. I've never had so much money, I guess you could call it. That's what I've been calling it. I've not been dumb with the money, I'm not out partying like a rockstar or anything. I bought a pickup (for) cash."
What Flynn means is essentially enough money to live with some extra amenities without breaking the bank. Flynn states her life has changed in terms of her bank account, but her day-to-day life stays the same. It's also given her a new perspective on people, and admits that she has a less-than-patient approach to critics:
"I'm still living the exact same life that I was living. I just a little more lavishly, I guess. I don't even know how to explain it. I'm still the exact same person. I just have a way lower tolerance for dumb things. I'm like you don't like me? There's mean girls in everybody's life, but now they comment publicly on my Instagram and stuff. I had this girl comment the other day who I didn't even know was still alive. She wrote «Photoshop does great for your eye bags and the big rig on your face.» Her profile pictures are [her with] two big black eye bags. It's a little kettle calling the pot black, ain't it girl?"
Currently at over 70k followers on her Instagram, several thousand more on other media platforms, and a few extra bucks in the bank, it seems Flynn can sleep easy at night knowing that her life really isn't too much different.
But it certainly was a viral moment that flashed right before our eyes.
