Bruins Fans Furious After a Controversial Call Leads to a Massive Loss
Nobody expected this series to even go beyond 4 games, but we are now at game 7. A controversial call may be the reason for this series extension.
Hand-Pass, or Referee Disasterclass?
The Bruins finally gained a lead on the Florida Panthers midway through the third, going up 4-3. By the end of the game, it was 7-5, including an empty net goal.
However, a crucial goal in the second period was called back. Connor Clifton earned a 3-2 lead over the Panthers, but a graze on the puck by the finger of Jake DeBrusk had it get called back.
If you go through the true technicality of the rule, this was a hand pass, but it was such a slight graze that many are questioning it's validity.
Either way, it's in the past, and the Bruins will need to fight for a win in Game 7.
