Florida Panthers Prospect Suffers Life-Threatening Injury During Game
Concussions are scary, but the most chilling injuries in hockey occur in the neck. Neck injuries can cause permanent paralysis and they can be life-threatening. Florida Panthers prospect Jakub Kos now knows this all too well.
Panthers 2021 Draft Pick Suffers Serious Neck Injury
Kos was a sixth-round pick in 2021. Not the most highly touted player at the draft, he has broken out, winning a silver medal with Czechia at the World Juniors.
In a very very thin Panthers prospect pool, Kos has climbed up the rankings. Unfortunately his momentum suffered a massive setback on March 3rd.
After being thrown into the boards head-first, Kos suffered a fractured neck.
The 19-year-old who injured Kos was kicked out of the game and given a four-game suspension.
Unfortunately for Kos, his season is over, but there is a worry this could be the end of his career.
So for now, not career ending.
Hopefully there are positive updates on this story in this future, and hopefully Jakub Kos will have an amazing NHL career.
