Matthew Tkachuk Loses It After Buffalo Sabres Empty Net Attempt
Matthew Tkachuk is having a career season. Despite being top-five in the league in points, he isn't guaranteed playoff time. This is clearly getting to his head.
Tkachuk Loses it After Loss
Losing 3-1 to their divisional rival Buffalo Sabres, the Panthers are falling even further out of the playoff picture. At this point it is truly a toss-up for them to make the playoffs in this tough eastern conference.
Buffalo now sits in the playoffs thanks to a 53-save performance by Craig Anderson, and when they tried to barrel one last empty netter in, a scrum ensued.
Tkachuk infiltrated their post-game celebration and started a brawl:
This is a very immature move from Tkachuk, who should be one of the main leaders on this Florida team.
Hopefully this season will be a wake up call for the Panthers, who will have a lot of work to do to find sustainable success.
