Florida Panthers GM loses it after Game 5 loss in the Stanley Cup Final
Tonight, the Florida Panthers missed another chance to clinch the Stanley Cup in Game 5, and GM Bill Zito let his emotions get the best of him.
In what could have been the Cup-clincher, the Panthers party bid was spoiled by the Edmonton Oilers 5-3.
Connor McDavid was unstoppable, scoring two goals and adding two assists, bringing his playoff-leading total to 42 points. His game-sealing empty-net goal was the final blow, sending Zito into a fit of rage, knowing the series would now shift back to Alberta for Game 6 at Rogers Place on Friday.
FLA GM Bill Zito was not happy
The defeat was crushing for Panthers fans, and a viral clip shows General Manager Bill Zito angrily tossing a water bottle after the goal.
