hroughout his impressive career, he amassed 544 wins, 315 losses, and 91 OT losses in 986 games, playing for the Penguins, Golden Knights, Blackhawks, and Wild. Not to mention, he clinched three Stanley Cups and a Vezina Trophy.
At 38 years old, Fleury still has one year left on his contract with the Minnesota Wild, but there are rumors swirling that it could be his final season in the NHL.
Some speculate that Fleury might desire to spend his last season playing at home, for the Montreal Canadiens.
Here's the proposal:
That would be major. The Habs would have to trade away one of their goalie prospects, who has been quite disappointing in the last few years, as well as Josh Anderson, a highly-coveted player in the NHL.
However, they would get Marc-Andre Fleury for a year, a 1st round pick in 2024, and a good prospect in Caeden Bankier.
It's unsure whether the Habs would accept trading away Anderson to get Fleury for only a year when they're in the middle of a rebuild.
Also, since Fleury has decided to sign in Minnesota, he probably wants to stay there. If, after his current contract, he wants to play more, Montreal could be a possible destination for him.
