Due to the current epidemiological situation, the Legault government has decided to relax sanitary measures by increasing the capacity of outdoor events from 3500 to 5000 people.
This new measure can be applied to any festival or outdoor sporting event in a stadium as of July 2.
The mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, wants to hold outdoor broadcasts of the last games of the Stanley Cup Final.
According to Radio-Canada, discussions have been underway since the beginning of the week between Public Health, the City of Montreal and the SPVM on the organization of a broadcast of the Canadiens' games. Currently, the public broadcast on the Place des Festivals is an option that is being studied, but it has not yet been confirmed.
