Patrik Laine's fiancée, Jordan Leigh, sends a request to Montreal Canadiens fans

With Patrik Laine leaving Columbus for the Montreal Canadiens, his fiancee has taken Instagram by storm with her questions about the city.

It is no news that Patrik Laine has struggled with his reputation in the NHL. Despite a career production of 204 goals and 388 points in 480 games, he has struggled with his mental health and on-ice injuries, forcing him to spend time in the NHL/NHLPA Players Assitance Program last season with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Since clearing the program, he has been training hard for his first season with the Montreal Canadiens, following his trade to the team with a 2026 second-round pick for Jordan Harris.

Part of Patrik Laine's comeback can be attributed to the love and support he gets from his fiancee Jordan Leigh. After the couple's recent engagement, both are not just individual mental health advocates, but have started an initiative to help those suffering the same issues. Patrik Laine and Jordan Leigh posted only a couple of weeks ago that they are launching "From Us To You" to help people speak out about their experiences.

Jordan Leigh, however, has taken Instagram by storm lately for a more light-hearted reason. With her and Patrik Laine heading to Canada soon, she asked her fans and followers what she needed to know about Montreal before her move and how to get in contact with a French teacher.

"What do I need to know before moving to Montreal?

And also, if anyone knows a French teacher, please send me their contact details"

While social media can sometimes bring a slew of rude comments, fans did not disappoint her with their responses. Jordan Leigh was flooded with messages excited about her and her fiancee's upcoming arrival and shared their praise of Montreal's cuisine.

"I don't know what poutine is, but it looks like I'm absolutely about to find out.

Thanks for the love, everyone! I'm taking note!"

While NHL fans may not always treat Patrik Laine with care, it is clear Jordan Leigh has been a positive, forward-thinking influence on him. With any luck and continued support, he will go on to have the best season of his career thus far with the Montreal Canadiens.
