The question asked to Fitzgerald was about the extension that they signed now former player Michael McLeod to. He said at the time the team had no knowledge of McLeod being involved and the league told them it was business as usual until told otherwise.

This is the first time Fitzgerald has spoken about either player and their situation. As of now, there have not been any updates on the NHL future or the legal future of the players involved.
