This afternoon New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald has spoken to the media regarding the two Devils players charged in the 2018 scandal. This is the first time that Fitzgerald has spoken on the subject since they were charged.

The question asked to Fitzgerald was about the extension that they signed now former player Michael McLeod to. He said at the time the team had no knowledge of McLeod being involved and the league told them it was business as usual until told otherwise.
