News has come out this afternoon that forward Maxim Tsyplakov has signed with the New York Islanders on a one-year entry level contract.
#Isles News: The New York Islanders announced today that they have signed Maxim Tsyplakov to a one-year, entry-level contract.
Over the last several days it had been highly speculated that the 25 year old forward was going to sign an NHL contract. The Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs were both linked to the young star.

The Leafs reportedly have interest in Spartak Moskva forward Maxim Tsyplakov.
Maxim Tsyplakov will now add a dynamic forward who scored 31 KHL goals this season to the New York Islanders lineup. A team that plays defensively sound like the Islanders adding a scoring threat of this caliber could mean trouble for many other teams in the Eastern Conference.
