BREAKING: 1000 Game Veteran Signs With Canadian Team To Save His Career
A Canadian franchise has signed a 1000-game veteran forward in an effort to help him save his career.
Bailey Signs With Ottawa
The Ottawa Senators just announced that they have signed forward Josh Bailey to a PTO.
Roster update: The #Sens have signed forward Josh Bailey to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.
Bailey has spent his entire playing career with the New York Islanders where he registered 1,057 games over 16 years. Bailey is one of three Islanders in franchise history to have played 1,000 games with the franchise.
However, the Islanders traded Bailey to Chicago this past offseason and they bought him out immediately after acquiring him.
In 64 games last year, Bailey scored 25 points proving to be valuable even in a bottom-six role. At this stage of his career, if Bailey does not earn a contract with the Senators, he is likely done for in the NHL.
