Brady and Matthew Tkachuk both play an abrasive style that opposing players hate. They're crafty, physical, and both very skilled.
If you asked NHLers a poll of who they hate playing against the most, it's a guarantee that one of the Tkachuk's is on the list, but when The Bleacher Report asked the Tkachuk's this same question, the answers were surprising:
Playing in Calgary for the first five years of his career, Matthew Tkachuk saw a lot of Western Conference competition. He insists that Dustin Byfuglien was the scariest player he ever played against.
Byfuglien was one of the last true physical beasts of this generation, pulling fans out of their seats at both forward and defense.
Now that Byfuglien is retired, Tkachuk brought up Cale Makar, Miro Heiskenan, and Rasmus Dahlin as the guys he doesn't particularly enjoy going up against.
As for Brady, he named Shea Weber as the player he was afraid of, as the massive, hard-hitting, smooth-skating future hall-of-famer must've been a terrifying matchup for 19-year-old Tkachuk on rivalry matchups between the Habs and the Sens.
With Weber retired as well, Brady shared the stance of his brother, insisting that the modern breed of fast and intelligent defensemen are very tough to play against.
While these brothers can face even the toughest competition in the league no problem, there are still a few players that chill them to their core!
