Brady Tkachuk Shows His Diving Skills In One Of The Worst Calls Of The Season
It seems that Brady Tkachuk may have been influenced by his Ottawa Senators teammate Tim Stutzle, as he was captured on video executing one of the season's most dramatic dives.
Surprisingly, the officials were convinced by the performance and penalized Justin Holl for tripping the play.
Brady Tkachuk Shows His Diving Skills In One Of The Worst Calls Of The Season
To be honest, this behavior from Brady Tkachuk is quite unexpected. He has gained a reputation as a fierce competitor in the league.
The minimal contact from the inconsequential tap on his skate should not have triggered such a reaction from him. It's somewhat embarrassing, to say the least.
While Holl was indeed caught off-guard and reaching during the play, the contact with Brady Tkachuk's skate was barely noticeable.
If the officials were intent on penalizing Holl, they could have opted to call both players Holl for tripping and Brady Tkachuk for embellishment. However, we must remember that these are NHL officials, who aren't exactly known for their unbiased decision-making.
