Irony at it's finest, is what some may say after watching the clip of Brady Tkachuk going after the New Jersey Devils' captain Nico Hischier, who put the puck into an empty net after the buzzer in the Ottawa Senators defeat versus the New Jersey Devils.

On February 10th, Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Greig decided to take a slapshot into the empty Maple Leafs net, leading to Toronto Maple Leafs' defenseman Morgan Rielly absolutely losing it on the Senators rookie giving him a vicious cross check. Morgan Rielly had gotten suspended five games, given by the NHL Player Safety Association.

Brady Tkachuk however, seemed to not enjoy what the Devils captain did last night, who put the puck into the empty net after the whistle.

It is quite ironic actually, because when the incident occured between Morgan Rielly and Ridly Greig, the Senators captain made a comment on a podcast.

"I'm not gonna lie to you. I was crying, laughing. It was pretty funny at the time. TSN has been covering it for the last four days since it happened, so they still haven't moved past it. And it's on every morning when we're sitting in the lounge watching TV. It's still on and we still can't believe it, We've moved on and it's still such a big thing."

We understand the frustration on the part of Brady Tkachuk, but what he has been doing is hypocritical to say the least.
