Reports indicate that the end of Sean Couturier's career is coming
Sean Couturier was named the captain of the Philadelphia Flyers earlier this season. Since being named captain things have become rocky. Now a new injury has potentially put his impressive career on the ropes at age 31.
The Philadelphia Flyers have been fighting for a playoff spot in the last several weeks. Unfortunately for captain Sean Couturier, he has missed much of that push. He was scratched or benched for a couple of games and now an injury has come up.

Injury update per Flyers GM Daniel Briere:
Sean Couturier has an upper-body injury and is day-to-day. He will not travel with the team and won't be available the next two games.
The injury combined with his recent benchings has caused fans and media to speculate on his future with Philadelphia. His relationship with head coach John Tortorella seems to have soured after the benchings. Even Sean Couturier's agent got involved making a statement on the situation.
Speculation begins on Sean Couturier's future in Philadelphia
Some believe a buyout could be on the way while others wonder if this injury could lead to a long-term injured reserve situation.
Phantom injury. He's done here.
So basically his career is over
While this is all fan speculation at the moment the correlation between the benchings and this injury do line up in a way that could suggest problems for Sean Couturier.
