We've seen some scary incidents happen on the ice in the US recently, with both Jeremie Poirier of the Calgary Wranglers and Evander Kane of the Edmonton Oilers both taking skates to the wrist, but nothing quite like this.
A scary incident
Recently in England, a game has had to be stopped due to what fans have described as a terrifying incident, with those fans being asked to evacuate the arena.
According to reports, it was former Pittsburgh Penguin Adam Johnson who took a skate to the throat, with eye witnesses revealing that players formed a circle around him to stop fans from seeing what was happening.
"Eye witnesses say players from both sides formed a ring around their stricken colleague, while screens were also erected." - Mirror.co.uk
This is one of the scariest situations we've ever heard of on the ice, and we wish Johnson well and hope he can make a full recovery, and will provide further details when they become available.
