Breaking: Pittsburgh Penguins lose player to the Montreal Canadiens
The Montreal Canadiens have officially claimed a player who was placed on waivers yesterday by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Montreal Canadiens Claim Former First Round Pick Colin White From Waivers
In breaking news, insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed that the Montreal Canadiens have claimed the forward Colin White from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Habs have traded away Sean Monahan a few weeks ago, which was a big loss for their already thin centerline.
With Christian Dvorak injured for the remainder of the season, they really needed reinforcements in that area.
The Canadiens' management often took on players who needed a breath of fresh air, such as Kirby Dach, Alex Newhook, Justin Barron, and last year's loan Denis Gurianov. White is in the same kind of situation, having no points in 11 games with the Penguins this season.
We'll see if Marty St. Louis can help him turn his season around.
More to come.
