The head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Jon Cooper, has his hands full trying to help his team get back in the series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. However, the last thing Cooper needed was the news that former assistant coach Derek Lalonde had leaked some sensitive statistics.

Lalonde revealed a weakness of Lightning's goaltender, Andrei Vasilevskiy, which caused the team to overhaul their defensive game to cover it up, as claimed by Lalonde.

During the Lightning's recent press conference, Cooper was asked about the situation here's what he had to say:

Cooper Fires Back!

"He's just there because he was an assistant coach on that team. So, he's trying to give an insight and trying to give something relevant to the fans, and he should just make sure it's accurate," via Lightning Insider.

Cooper didn't appreciate his former assistant coach publicly revealing Vasilevskiy's number one weakness.

"Sportsnet pays him well to give his opinion, so he has to come up with something about stuff like this,"

- Jon Cooper.

It's clear Lalonde is trying to remain relevant by trying to share stuff that he probably shouldn't as for Andrei Vasilevskiy he's one of the best in the game. All goalies have a weakness even Vasilevskiy so take Lalonde's comments as you want.

Incredible info from Derek Lalonde (fmr TBL asst coach) on Vasilevskiy's weakness:

"We did a study...he was one of the lower-percentage goalies in finding pucks from the point...we changed our entire Dzone (coverage)."
