Things just keep getting worse for the Tampa Bay Lightning, who are on the brink of elimination at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs. With the news that Toronto's Michael Bunting will return for game five, it was reported that Tampa Bay would not be receiving their own reinforcements.

Cernak Remains Unavailable

Michael Bunting's three-game suspension for a check to the head on Erik Cernak is finally over, and while Toronto will be gaining one of their most important players back, Tampa Bay will remain handicapped by injury.

Toronto reporter Luke Fox reported today that Erik Cernak will remain out for game five, which is terrible news for the Lightning, who could desperately use his presence, down 3-1 in the series.

Cernak has been unavailable for Tampa Bay since the incident with Bunting that lead to his suspension, and if things keep trending the way they currently are, Cernak could be out indefinitely.

This certainly isn't the news Lightning fans wanted to hear, and something will have to change for Tampa Bay if they hope to stay alive much longer.
