BREAKING: Leafs Make a Roster Move That Indicates Matt Murray's Season is Over
Matt Murray has dealt with injuries all season, and, due to today's Leafs roster move, it appears he could be out for the rest of the season.
Murray's Latest Injury - Season-Ending?
The Leafs announced this morning that the team would be calling up goaltender Joseph Woll from the Toronto Marlies.
It doesn't appear to be under emergency circumstances, which implies that Woll will be in the NHL for a while.
With teams only being allowed three call-ups after the trade deadline, it is definitely starting to appear that Matt Murray won't be healthy for the playoffs.
With llya Samsonov already appearing to get the favour as playoff starter, this won't be too impactful, but it is still disappointing to see Murray, who still has term on his deal, unable to stay healthy for a season.
We will update this story as more details come out.
