Toronto Marlies hire new head coach: John Gruden
Toronto Malies have hired a new head coach, John Gruden, who will help develop younger talent.
It was just announced today by the Toronto Maple Leafs who the next head coach of their AHL affiliate would be.
John Gruden has been an assistant coach at the NHL level for five years, spending four with the Islanders and last year with the Bruins.
In 2005, he started coaching by coaching Brother Rice High School in Minnesota. Since then, he has worked his way up and has developed a lot of top talent. He has coached players such as Adam Fox, Charlie McAvoy, Clayton Keller, Matthew Tkachuk, and even Auston Matthews.
He will look to continue to grind his way up to being an NHL head coach.
