A new post on social media from a former NHL All-Star has dropped a major bombshell about the future of Corey Perry in the NHL.

The Corey Perry speculation continues to grow as he has now been deemed eligible to sign with a new team. Since this announcement people from all corners of the hockey world have made a prediction of his new NHL home. Today this continued with a former NHL All-Star.

Former NHL enforcer and All-Star John Scott took to X to give his opinion on where Perry would fit in best. Scott predicts that Perry will take on a new challenge and head to Toronto in the coming weeks.

Where do you see Corey Perry signing?

Toronto makes a lot of sense to me.

Before signing with the Blackhawks Perry had spent the last couple of seasons chasing a Stanley Cup with different teams. Signing in Toronto would give him this opportunity again but is it a good fit for the Maple Leafs?

Can Perry Fit In With The Maple Leafs And Be The Missing Piece?

This offseason for the Toronto Maple Leafs was heavily focused on making the team tougher to play against. Additions of Max Domi, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Ryan Reaves were all supposed to bring varying degrees of scoring and physicality. While these players have brought physicality the scoring has been lackluster.

In comes the opportunity to add Perry now of course he is not the player he used to be. However, even at 38 years old Perry had 9 points in 16 games before being released by Chicago. Now each team is doing their investigations to see if Perry can be trusted to return to the NHL again.

If the Maple Leafs feel comfortable with the off-ice part of Perry it could be worth a shot to add him to the team for the stretch run.
