After reports swirled that Toronto Maple Leafs forward Michael Bunting was receiving unfair treatment by NHL officials, a former NHL referee expressed his thoughts on the situation.

Former NHL referee Dave Jackson spoke with Leafs Morning Take host Nick Alberga about Michael Bunting's reputation.
NHL officials are being called out after Michael Bunting received an unsportsmanlike penalty after he was crosschecked and held down by Red Wings player Jake Walman. He also received a 10 minute misconduct after being shoved by Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider.
