Former Toronto Maple Leaf, Leigh Verstraete, has passed away at 61.

Verstraete Passes

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that Leigh Verstraete has passed away.

Verstraete spent the majority of his career with the Maple Leafs' minor league affiliates but did get into 8 NHL games where he scored 1 assist. He last played in 1988.

Our thoughts are with his family at the moment.
