Ilya Samsonov Appears to Suffer Groin Injury Against Canadiens
The Leafs made a bold decision tonight by only dressing one NHL goaltender. The worst possible scenario may have occurred as Ilya Samsonov may be injured.
Samsonov Uncomfortable
After a rush by the Canadiens, Samsonov appeared to have an injury to the groin. He was uneasy getting back up, and both fans and reporters are concerned he will aggravate the injury if he stays in.
Samsonov clearly hurt Not good. Looks like it could be a groin. Take him out now, don't be stupid and risk making it worst. #LeafsForever
With the Leafs already locked in to the second place spot in the Atlantic, there is no reason to aggravate an injury.
University of Toronto goaltender Jett Alexander could very well see playing time tonight.
