Samsonov Drops Major News
Samsonov was the backstop for the Leafs for most of the season up until he left game 3 of the second round with an injury. The details were not known at the time but Samsonov shared them today with the media.
Neck injuries typically take a month or longer to heal which would have knocked Samsonov out for essentially the rest of the playoffs.
In addition to revealing his neck injury, Samsonov also revealed that he wants a future with the Leafs.
Samsonov revealing that he would like to re-sign is big news for the Leafs because if they can sign Samsonov long-term, they probably have their goalie of the future.
