Leafs Fan Arrested After a Wild Celebration
Toronto Police were not horsing around when arresting a drunken Leafs Fan who slapped the rear of a Police Horse following their Series win against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6.
Police were able to rein in the suspect, who Toronto Police say was intoxicated at the time of the incident. Toronto Police also confirmed there were no injuries to the horse in the incident, or to the mounting officer on the horse.
The suspect, who was not named, was released from police custody, according to the Toronto Star. The suspect was given a Provincial Offence Notice when they were able to sober up, according to Police.
No other arrests were reported following the massive celebration in Downtown Toronto for the Leafs win. Fans took to the streets near Scotiabank Arena to gather in celebrating the Leafs first playoff series win since 2004.
