MOCK TRADE: Maple Leafs Acquire Possible Goalie of the Future
The Maple Leafs already have a competent tandem in Ilya Samsonov and Joseph Woll. Adding another goalie couldn't hurt though!
MOCK TRADE: Leafs Acquire Vladar
It has been reported that Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar is on the trade block.
With this in mind, the Leafs could capitalize and bring in the goalie. With good support in Ilya Samsonov, they could be an incredible tandem.
Knowing how the Leafs have had to deal with injuries over the past few seasons, having three NHL-level goalies could be the right move.
MOCK TRADE
Toronto Acquires
- Dan Vladar
Calgary Acquires
- Sam Lafferty
- Semyon Der-Arguchintsev
- 2024 3rd
Win-Win?
Lafferty is a valuable bottom-sixer, but he hadn't been the best in Toronto after being traded to them in March. Der-Arguchintsev just signed in Europe due to the lack of opportunity in the Leafs lineup. Maybe on a Calgary team with more opportunity, he could bloom.
This trade seems like a win-win for both sides. What do you think?
