Rumor: Tough D-man Linked to the Toronto Maple Leafs
The Leafs made significant decisions in the last week, particularly concerning their goaltenders and forwards.
However, Brad Treliving still needs to address their blue line.
There are several candidates who would fit well within the organization, but one, in particular, stands out as the ideal choice for the Leafs to pursue.
Tough D-man Linked to Toronto
A Twitter user made an insightful prediction about the Leafs and Zach Bogosian, the current defenseman for the Tampa Bay Lightning and a former Leaf.
According to him, Toronto needs to acquire more physical defensemen, especially after losing Luke Schenn to free agency.
"Since we lost Luke Schenn to free agency and currently have only one big physical defenseman in Jake McCabe, who's very good, I think we need another physical defenseman like Zach Bogosian. When he was on the Leafs, he did everything right, and I feel like we need him." Bogosian could fill that void and play a significant role in Toronto.
Bogosian played 45 games for the Leafs in the 2020-21 season, but he had a more substantial impact in Tampa, where he won a Stanley Cup.
