The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to be the subject of trade discussions, and now it appears new details have emerged on a major breakthrough in their progress.

Many Teams In Attendance For Leaf Game Thursday Hinting At Upcoming Trade

With the number of eyes on the Leafs, there is never any surprise when a potential trade happens, as pretty much everyone knows that it is going to happen, just not when exactly. The Leafs have been rumoured to be working on a trade since they lost John Klingberg a few weeks ago.

Now, it appears that a potential trade is definitely in the works, as David Pagnotta reported that 14 different teams had representatives at the Leafs game scouting players.

Suprising Teams Not On the List of Teams in Attendance

Two surprising teams were not mentioned on the list of representatives, the Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks, two teams that the Leafs have been rumoured to have interest in defensemen from. Chris Tanev from the Calgary Flames and Mario Ferraro from the San Jose Sharks.

Clearly, Brad Treliving is weighing all of his options for a defenseman. The Leafs need for one is slowly dissipating though, as they return some of their key defensemen from injury.

We will see what Brad Treliving can work up for his first in-season trade with the Leafs.
