Ryan Reaves Sends a Threat to His Former Team
Ryan Reaves will be taking on his former team today and has threatened his former teammates.
Reaves' Time In Minnesota
At 36 years old, Ryan Reaves is still one of the most feared enforcers in the NHL. Last year he spent the season split between the Rangers and the Wild, with whom he played in 61 games.
Throughout these 61 games in Minnesota, Reaves scored 15 points and logged 31 PIMs. While these numbers aren't crazy, his impact off the ice was also felt with Reaves being one of the the members of the locker room who kept things together.
Reaves Threatens The Wild
Just ahead of the Leafs game against the Wild today, Reaves sent a warning shot to his former teammates.
«Sometimes when you're better friends with them, you want to lay them out a little more. Unfortunately for them, I became pretty good friends with all of them.» - Ryan Reaves
While this is tongue-in-cheek, it is likely Reaves will be a physical force versus the Wild.
He started the season versus the Canadiens fighting Arber Xhekaj where he took a rare loss after Xhekaj plowed him over the net.
Ryan Reaves vs. Arber Xhekaj
Reaves is certainly fired up after this loss and will be hungry for his first win of the season tonight.
