Sheldon Keefe should be a happy man. He coaches one of the most storied franchises in hockey, and is winning his playoff series. Despite this, the Maple Leafs' head coach seems to never be happy when speaking to the media.
Keefe Takes Shots at a Reporter
I'm sure Sheldon Keefe's job is stressful, and it likely comes with loads of responsibility and weight on his shoulders. The stress of the playoffs is clearly getting to Keefe, as his media availability the other day got heated quickly.
A member of the Toronto media asked Keefe why Leaf's goaltender Ilya Samsonov wasn't available for questioning post-game, and Keefe decided he had reached his limit. The coach quickly responded with a fiery quote.
Have you been talking to (Andrei) Vasilevskiy in this series?
The reporter said that Vasilevskiy didn't play for the Leafs, and that members of Toronto media rarely spoke to opposing players.
While the reporter brought up a fair question, Keefe clearly doesn't appreciate the toll the media has taken on his players.
