Just days after signing a massive eight-year deal worth $11.25 million annually, Nylander can now lay claim to leading all skaters in All-Star voting for the 2023-24 NHL All-Star Game to be held in Toronto.

It was teammate Auston Matthews that was picked by the league to be the Maple Leafs representative in the All-Star Game, but now with the voting process, it appears he's going to be joined by at least one of his teammates.

Trending: As if his week couldn't get any better F William Nylander currently leads of skaters on Votes for the All Star game. Ahead of some big names like Leon Draisaitl , Cale Makar and even Mitch Marner.

A career year rolls on for the young superstar

Last season, Nylander set a career high in goals (40) and points (87), and through 39 games in 2023-24, he's on pace to top both of those marks, already notching 21 goals and 54 points.

Given that many in Toronto and all around the NHL believe he should have been selected by the league, this comes as no surprise given his popularity in Sweden, Toronto and all around the NHL, this would be a well-deserved honour.

Through seven years of his career thus far, Nylander has never been named an All-Star despite being considered by many as a star, and now with the Stanley Cup in sight for Toronto, it's safe to say this would be another great reward for his fantastic play in 2023-24.
