The off season for the Toronto Maple Leafs has been on a rocky road especially when it comes to contract extensions.
Nylander Update
William Nylander and Auston Matthews are the two big fish that have the whole leagues attention right now.
It has been actively reported that Nylander and the Leafs are currently very far apart and it does not look good for the Leafs.
Reports say that Nylander is asking for over $10 million meanwhile the Leafs are offering $8 million.
Nylander's production
Nylander has been the most silent of the Leafs core 4 hiding behind the likes of Matthews, Tavares and Marner, however he has been improving at a good rate.
This past season Nylander exploded for 40 goals and 87 points this puts him up to 430 points in 521 regular season NHL games.
The Calgarian-born winger has been arguably the best member of the core 4 with 10 points in 11 playoff games.
