With game 4 against the Boston Bruins on the horizon for the Toronto Maple Leafs, fans are hopeful for the return of Bobby McMann, who has been out for the entirety of the series thus far. Now, there is another update on his health.

Today's Leafs practice has some big implications regarding who might be back in the lineup come Saturday night. That includes Bobby McMann, an important component of the Leafs' offence who has been out with a lower-body injury. With the team having a day off yesterday, today's practice gives more insight into the status of McMann.

It has been revealed that McMann is absent from practice, suggesting that he will not be in the lineup for Saturday night, according to David Alter.

Bobby McMann, who has been injured since the last two games of the regular season, is also not practicing today.

While this is disappointing news, it wasn't necessarily expected that McMann would return for Saturday's game. The hope is that he can make his Leafs playoff debut in this series, however, it remains to be seen.

Other players missing from practice today include Ilya Lyubushkin, who is with his wife after she just gave birth to their daughter, and Auston Matthews, who is taking another maintenance day, likely in relation to the illness he was suffering Wednesday night.

Ilya Lyubushkin (parental leave) and Auston Matthews (maintenance) will not practice today, per Leafs.

More details to come as the Leafs take the ice prior to their big home game tomorrow night.
