After Joe Bowen had some criticism for Leaf fans being too quiet during game 3, Sheldon Keefe responded, basically saying that he didn't agree with Bowen's assessment.

Scotia Bank Arena has gotten a reputation that only suits attend the Leaf games, due to such a high ticket price. That reputation, tied with the Leafs' lack of success in the playoffs, could result in a low-energy crowd. After game 3 in Toronto, Joe Bowen took to social media to share his displeasure with Leaf fans and their lack of energy.

The idea of going
To any sporting event
To support the home team is to
Be PRO ACTIVE!!!
Give the team energy when they need it Not sitting down waiting
To be REACTIVE. The players can't say it but I will tonight's crowd was VERY DISAPPOINTING

However, some are pushing back on Bowen and his assessment of the crowd's energy, saying that it was loud in the arena, and if it wasn't that is on the players' performance, not the crowd.

Now, Sheldon Keefe has weighed in on the debate, saying that it was definitely loud in the arena, as he had to shout the lines who were up next in order for his players to hear him.

«I found it quite loud in there,»

«There was a number of times that it was hard calling out lines. You have to scream the lines and you have to move up and down the bench to make sure players are hearing and communicating properly.

Leaf fans have another opportunity to prove their worth on Saturday night, as the Leafs look to even up the series at 2 a piece before heading back to Boston.

As seen on the Toronto Sun - Keefe on crowd noise at SBA: 'I found it quite loud ... you have to scream the lines'
