The Leafs won the game 3-0 in an eventful evening in Buffalo. Not only did Ilya Samsonov had a great performance, with a 34-save shutout, Auston Matthews scored his 60th goal of the season. Unfortunately, the game ended on a bad note, as a major brawl emerged, which led to all ten players on the ice to be ejected.
Things took a dramatic turn in the final seconds of the game. All skaters on the ice started a brawl that went on for almost two minutes and ended with many players dropping the gloves.

In the end, Maple Leafs' Tyler Bertuzzi, Auston Matthews, Bobby McMann, Mark Giordano and TJ Brodie, as well as Sabres' Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch, JJ Peterka, Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power got sent to the locker room by the referees.
Before leaving the ice, Auston Matthews talked to the referee.
After the referee made the call, Matthews wanted to make sure that all players were ejected before leaving.
His brief discussion with the referee was captured in a video:
Matthews only had two minor penalties this season, and would've likely been considered to win the Lady Byng trophy, awarded to the player who shows the most sportsmanship. His 12 additional penalty minutes will definitely hurt his chances.
Carolina Hurricanes' defenseman Jaccob Slavin currently has a mere six penalty minutes as of now.
Do you think Matthews will win the Lady Byng trophy this season?
