Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews was not at practice ahead of the sixth game against the Boston Bruins.

According to multiple reports from renowned insiders, Matthews wasn't on the ice for the team practice earlier today in Toronto.

"Auston Matthews is not on the ice for the Leafs full morning skate ahead of Game 6."

However, he did jump on the ice before the morning skate, which doesn't look good for the chances of seeing him in the line up tonight.

Chris Johnston stated:

"Auston Matthews skated at Scotiabank Arena earlier this morning and isn't on the ice now with #leafs teammates for the formal morning skate.

That's not an encouraging sign about his availability for Game 6."

Last Tuesday, the Leafs proved that they can beat the Bruins without Matthews. If he ends up not being cleared to play in game six, players know they can win. Other leaders will need to step up. If Mitch Marner brings the same intensity he did last game, and Joseph Woll keeps up with the big saves, they could force a seventh game and return to Boston.

The Bruins blew a 3-1 lead last season, and Leafs players will want to capitalize on this tough situation.

Do you think the Leafs will force a seventh game against the Boston Bruins without Auston Matthews?
