Just ahead of the trade deadline earlier this month, Brad Treliving moved for defenseman Cade Webber from the Carolina Hurricanes.

In a recent interview with The Athletic's Josh Kloke, Webber revealed that he intends on signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He stated the following during the interview.
"I'm humbled (the Leafs) traded for me. I'm excited to be part of an organization that has historic track record and is on the edge of a Stanley Cup." - Cade Webber
